What Anne Rice's "The Wolf Gift"?
The Anita Blake vampire hunter series also includes werewolves and other were-animals.

Lexi Blake's Hunter Series and Kristen Ashley's The Three both consists of stories about vampires, werewolves, or shifters. These are definitely must read books.

As Alhen James said, Lexi Blake's Hunter are a great series, I think you might enjoy it as it's different from the usual YA books you mention not liking.

If you like a light or romance story of werewolf, try:
1. Shiftless: a fantastical werewolf adventure
2. The forgotten one
3. The second son
I read them from Amazon free digital books :shhh:

Hello,
One author I have really enjoyed reading is Patricia Briggs. She has two series with the werewolf theme at the heart.
1)Mercy Thompson Series
-Right now, she has ten books in this series.
2)Alpha and Omega Series
-She has five right now and another coming in March of 2018.
Keep in mind that these are Urban Fantasy stories, but they really are good. Hope this helps.
