Re: Recommendations for a Classic Dystopian Lover
For classics in my own tbr list, The Piano Player by Kurt Vonnegut (next on my tbr list), The Iron Heel by Jack London, and Stranger in A Strange Land by Robert Heinlein.
For more modern dystopians I read that aren't on your list, The Knife of Never Letting Go. It's the first in a series and was a quick, but intriguing read. It definitely kept me hooked and drew me in. Incarceron by Catherine Fisher (another first in a series) was exceptionally good. I really enjoyed that one and, now that I think about it, want to read it again. The Bar Code Tattoo by Suzanne Wayn was one I read for a school project and loved.
For more modern dystopians that are in my own tbr list, Shift by Melisa Geiger. I met the author and she was very cool. It seems to be right up my alley, and might be a good one for you, too. V for Vendetta is one of my favorite movies, and so makes the list for me.

The Road - good but very very dark.
Earth Abides - considered a classic in the field.
World Made by Hand - Really enjoyed this one
Station Eleven - everyone in the universe loves this book but me, so you might like it.
Wool - Just got done with this one. Bought it after it was recommended in a reddit forum. 4 stars!
The Way We Live Now - there are also two follow ups whose titles I can't remember. This was a devastating read
for me. Just very typical people, Mom and two daughters, who try to survive a breakdown in society. The thing I
liked about it the most was that people didn't go crazy or turn into zombies. It was just brutal day to day living.
And I can't stop without mentioning The Stand, my absolute favorite dystopian (or perhaps any) novel.
