Hello learners and readers
I would be grateful if you helped me by suggesting a new book to read but this time I need a book that can take you out of boredom or it can make you forget all around and just think of what is read.
Thanks in advance

I don’t know what kind of books you usually read but I can recommend some that I’ve got completely lost in recently!
Non-fiction books:
‘Blitzed’ by Norman Ohler. It’s about the fact that Hitler, along with the whole German army, was actually whacked out on meth for most of the Second World War. It sounds silly but is a really engaging history book.
‘The Running Hare’ by John Lewis-Stempel: The author bought a field and tried farming it in old fashioned ways. He documents the wildlife that starts returning to the field over time. It’s really cool.
Fiction books:
‘Lincoln In The Bardo’: This one imagines that when Abraham Lincoln’s son died, he got trapped in a sort of ghostly realm called The Bardo. The writing is seriously wacky, made up of short little quotations instead of paragraphs. It’s surprisingly funny and I’ve never seen another book like it!
‘Will You Please Be Quiet, Please?’ by Raymond Carver is good if you like short stories. It’s a collection of slightly surreal stories, mostly about fairly normal lives but has something really compelling about it. They’re occasionally a bit sad but still very gripping!

Your criteria is very vague, as any book you enjoy can probably make you forget about your surroundings and focus on what you're reading.
If you like genre stuff, then I tend to fall back on Stephen King a lot. Plus his stuff is very easy to find in local libraries.
For more literary works, I recently finished
Life After Life by Kate Atkinson. Her stuff is amazing, very readable, character driven, tackles events in wartime England. The pace of her stuff, considering she is a literary writer, is astounding.
