About to do two 18hr bus trips in one week. I get carsick very easily so would like some audio book ideas.

Love me some high fantasy (i think thats the name for it?) and have read some of the common ones, obviously LotR, Song of Ice and Fire, most of Discworld, David Eddings, Patrick Rothfuss... That's the sort of vibe I'm after. A series would be cool as I have plenty of time.

The last thing is that since I'm looking for audio, if you have suggestions of specific readings that are well done that would be cool. Not a huge fan if the super dramatized thing but enjoy a reader who can do different character voices.

“His Dark Materials” by Phillip Pullman is amazingly immersive and may be just what you’re looking for! It’s a great series to read on a long journey.

"Throne of Glass" and "A Court of Thorns and Roses" by Sarah J Mass are two phenomenal series that I cannot recommend enough. The narrators for both series are astounding.
I also recommend the "All Souls Trilogy" by Deborah Harkness.

Both authors are great, for very different reasons. Deborah Harkness is a historian, so hers is detailed and historically-oriented writing. Sarah J. Mass tends to write more in the vein of the secondary-world fantasy of Patrick Rothfuss or David Eddings.

If you're keen on audio series, Garth Nix's Abhorsen trilogy is beautifully narrated by Tim Curry and worth your while.
