Hello,

I have read A song of ice and fire ,The lord of the rings trilogy and recently The Witcher series and I really liked them. So, someone recommended me the following books but I am not sure which one or how many fulfill my preferences. Maybe someone can help me decide from the following list or recommend something else. I have to add that I want to read them in English which is not my native language so they shouldn't be much more difficult than the ones mentioned above.

The Stormlight Archive
The Kingkiller Chronicle
Mistborn
Raven's Shadow
Gentleman Bastard
Demon Cycle
Warbreaker
Lightbringer
The Wheel of Time
Elantris
The First Law
The Farseer Trilogy
Sword of Truth
Codex Alera
Malazan Book of the Fallen

Thanks,

The Stormlight Archive is well loved in the fantasy genre, as is the Wheel of Time. These books are all good picks though! Have you heard of Daniel Greene on YouTube? He does a lot of great fantasy recommendation videos.

I haven't read any of those before but as for fantasy you should look into anything by Mercedes Lackey, the Queen's Arrow series is my favorite by him

My absolute favorite fantasy series is The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. I really like it because it takes place in New York, so the setting is familiar, but still includes all the aspects of fantasy: magic, werewolves, vampires, faeries, demons, and angels. Happy reading!

I have all the books on The Wheel of Time, they are long and a few are a little dragged out, but it is worth the read! I would highly recommend this series, and also Laurell K. Hamilton's Death of a Darklord.

I absolutely love that series! The Infernal Devices was a really good read as well. I liked the fantasy mixed with the historical aspects.

I loved the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. It's an amazing series with just the right ratio of romance, fantasy, and adventure.

I'm not a big fan of fantasy books wise, but I'm currently reading the first book of "We Are Voulhir" series and I love it!

Everyone likes the Wheel of Time series a lot. I'm thinking I should give it a try. I really enjoyed the King Killer Chronicles.

I highly recommend both of Sarah J Mass' series "Throne of Glass" and "A Court of Thorns and Roses." Absolutely astounding plot, characters, settings, and lore. The language the author creates for both series is amazing and feels genuine. The flow is also spectacular. Cannot recommend enough!

My favorite fantasy series is the Mercy Thompson Series by Patricia Briggs. She's a shape shifter, and takes the form of a coyote. She is also neighbors with an alpha werewolf who is very protective of his territory. There is humor, romance, and a ton of magic. I highly recommend!

I think I would have to suggest Caraval by Stephanie Garber. When I read it, it felt like magic was real and anything was possible. It really keeps you on the edge of your seat.

I would 1000% percent recommend The Kingkiller Chronicles! Patrick Rothfuss is one of the best fantasy writers out there. The only downside is that we've been waiting like 10 years for the conclusion.
