If you like fantasy, that is a little more slice of life, then I would recommend A Touch of Power by Jay Boyce.

The Grishaverse by Leigh Bardugo, it has multiple mini series, some of the timelines/events interconnect. I would say the best is Six of Crows.

I would recommend the book "The Lost Ways" by Claude Davis as a survival guide that imparts knowledge and skills based on the survival techniques of our ancestors.
It covers topics such as: Preserving food, Building shelter, Purchasing water, Self-defense, Medicinal plants.
