Check out her books. I love her! I also love thrillers and she writes psychological thrillers which always make me scream in mixed feelings. I can't explain but do check out this book!

The Shadows by Alex North. You kind of think it might be like a paranormal book but as you read it it definitely makes you feel super eerie!Marina-S-M1 wrote: ↑03 May 2020, 22:01 Thrillers are my favorite books to read, but all of the ones I've been hearing about lately are subpar when I look at the reviews . I tried picking some up earlier this year but I ended up DNF'ing both, which was really sad. I really like domestic thrillers, like Gone Girl, Big Little Lies, etc. I also really enjoy murder-mysteries, so if you have any recommendations PLEASE let me know. I'm hoping to pick them up on audio, or at the local library once it opens back up

It is a thriller bordering on horror: not a supernatural horror, but one that is entirely possible and believable. The manner in which the book is narrated is as chilling as the story itself because it presents the story so matter-of-factly that even when things which flirt with the incomprehensible, or dare I say, even the supernatural, the narration frames it as entirely normal and plausible, and the most frightening aspect to the story is that it IS entirely possible.
I can't overstate the quality of this book which was recommended to me waaaaaaaaay back in high school on a summer reading list. It remains one of the most entertaining (though disturbing) reads of my life.
CAUTION: If you plan on getting this novel do not read up too much on it beforehand or you will ruin it with spoilers.
