Hi guys

A bit of an urgent request:

I'm looking for novels/ short stories involving a forbidden love story of (preferably) the working class. Maybe one where the main characters are separated in spite of having a deep love for each other... But this part is not necessary.

Any suggestions?

Following are some y/a fiction books with this theme that I was completely sucked into. Some are fantasy, but some are realistic fiction. None are really working-class though (sorry!).

The Mortal Instruments (City of Bones is the first in the series) and The Infernal Devices (the prequel series)
Hush, Hush
A Walk to Remember (if you want to cry your eyes out ... hard)
Contours of the Heart (Easy is the first in the series)
