Someone told me Holly Black's Tithe is creepy... Just try any Holly Black fae books. It always has some creepy aspect to it.

The Folk of the Air trilogy by Holly Black. One of the best series conclusion I've ever read.
An enchantment of ravens by Margaret Rogerson.
And of course there is the ACOTAR series by Sarah. J. Mass

Knock Knock Open Wide by Neil Sharpson is fantastic and fits just what you described. Irish fairy lore - the malicious kind.
