I am a sucker for a good romantic story. I particularly enjoy paranormal - werewolves to be precise and Victorian storylines.

Suzanne Wright has a great werewolf series. Jaymin Eve also has a couple of paranormal series that are very good.

Demon Accords by John Conroe has a great vampire love story, but it isn’t the main focus of the story.

1. "A Discovery of Witches" by Deborah Harkness: This captivating novel blends romance, fantasy, and historical elements. It follows Diana Bishop, a witch who inadvertently discovers a bewitched manuscript, drawing her into a dangerous supernatural world that includes vampires and, yes, even werewolves.

2. "The Parasol Protectorate" series by Gail Carriger: This delightful steampunk series features a strong dose of romance and paranormal creatures. Set in Victorian London, the story revolves around Alexia Tarabotti, a soulless woman who has the ability to neutralize supernatural powers. As she unravels mysteries and navigates society, romance blooms amidst the intrigue.

3. "Moon Called" by Patricia Briggs: The first book in the "Mercy Thompson" series introduces Mercy, a shapeshifting mechanic who becomes entangled in the lives of werewolves, vampires, and fae. This urban fantasy series is known for its compelling romance and thrilling supernatural elements.

4. "Wings of the Night" by Maggie Shayne: This paranormal romance novel focuses on the relationship between Eric Marquand, a nobleman with a secret, and Tabitha Lennox, a woman who has prophetic dreams. Set in Victorian England, their love story is intertwined with werewolves and a mysterious curse.

5. "The Dark Days Club" by Alison Goodman: Set in Regency England, this novel follows Lady Helen Wrexhall, who discovers she has unique abilities and is drawn into the dark world of demon hunting. Amidst the supernatural conflicts, a romantic subplot develops that adds depth to the story.

6. "Bitten" by Kelley Armstrong: The first book in the "Women of the Otherworld" series introduces Elena Michaels, the world's only female werewolf. This urban fantasy novel explores Elena's struggles with her werewolf identity while also delving into complex relationships and romance.

That sounds like a captivating taste in literature! Romantic stories with paranormal elements, like werewolves, can add a fascinating twist to the traditional romance genre. The blend of the supernatural and romantic themes often creates a unique and engaging narrative. Likewise, Victorian storylines provide a rich backdrop with their historical settings, manners, and societal dynamics, adding depth to the romantic plots. It's wonderful that you have such specific preferences – they offer a clear direction for finding books that align with your interests. If you're looking for recommendations or discussions about books in these genres, I'd be delighted to assist!

I would highly suggest "Naked in Death" by J. D. Robb. Read it if you haven't already. It's a mix of suspense, mystery and romance.

if you are purely looking for a ligh hearted read then go for beach read by Emily Henry

I would have to say hands down Laurel K Hamilton The Anita Blake Series. Honestly, I may have to read the series again as I have not found anything to compare. I will give you one caution. If you do not like books that have sexual content do not read her series as each book farther into the series is more and more intense sexually. I am pretty sure I blushed a time or two while reading and it takes a lot for that to happen. Another recommendation although you can easily read her books out of order. The experience is that much better if you do read from book one and on. Good luck on your quest for the next great book. If you haven't found this series yet I hope you do You will not regret it.

When it comes to romance, I love Mills and Boons, especially those published in the 90s.

There’s a great series that takes place in the Regency era called Desperate Duchesses by Eloisa James. It’s fun, funny, intelligent, and the books are all related to one another. Highly recommend. The first book in the series is also called Desperate Duchesses.

There’s also a werewolf/vampire paranormal romance series by Keri Arthur called The Riley Jenson Guardian Novels that I really like. The first in the series is called Full Moon Rising.
