I have a friend who's turning 18 next month, and I am thinking of gifting her a book. But I don't have a lot of ideas as to what to give her.

I am currently weighing whether I would like to give her something that will entertain her, or something that will advise her on adult life.

There is a book called "Whar I Wish To Know When I Was 20" by Tina Seelig. I just don't know if it'll be good. I am open to more recommendations.

I know that my friend loves wattpad, but I am not sure if that's something I'm going to give. She is a cozy kind of person, who also loves novels and cute creatures (no, I am not givinf her a children's book). If you can find me somethinf that feels like summer or the spring, that would be good.

I hope you guys can give me some good recommendations. Wish you all a nice day!

I would give an 18 year old 'My Vision — Challenges in the Race for Excellence'. This is a book co-authored by Mohammed Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai and Vice- President of the United Arab Emirates. This is the greatest leadership book I have read.

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig ! Makes you think a lot about how you're spending your life, really. Also, if you want to go the self-help route for your friend, Atomic Habits by James Clear is by far the most helpful one I've read.

I'm wondering if one of the classics might be good -- such as "How to Win Friends and Influence People", or some type of really timeless classic that has great advice for a young adult. Perhaps that's too "old school" but it's nice to share some really timeless wisdom as well.

Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia

It is about someone who has an online novel and if they like the story concept I would recommend reading Monstrous Sea online.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a very cozy book as well.
