I believe the topic says it all...well, almost all. I want a solid dose of feminist literature, but I would particularly prefer *non-Western feminist classics*. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :D

"Anna Karenina" by Leo Tolstoy is a feminist book in it's nature. It describes the lives of different women and the hardships they encounter along their path. This takes place during 19th century Russia. I think you should totally read it

For nonfiction you can't go wrong with bell hooks or Angela Davis, then for fiction you could try Sylvia Plath and her poetry or any novel by Isabel Allende.

bell hooks is also a classic if you’re looking for non-fiction feminist theory. It’s a great place to start on intersectional feminism and very approachable/understandable for non-academics.
