Feeling empty now that I am through with Outlander series.

Six months of my life was spent reading the Outlander series, and now nothing really compares AT ALL!
I just finished An Unknown Woman, by Alice Koller. It was flat. The concept of a brash and bold woman going her own way during the early 60s drew me in, and while it's conclusion held some wise life advice, overall it felt flat and cold.
I am currently reading Rhett Butler's People, by Donald McCaig. So far it's amusing. It is not a page-burner though, and I am hungry for a page-burner, any recommendations?
