Romance recommendations for a young reader

Hello all!
I'm looking for book recommendations for my niece who is 14. She loves the romance genre but I'm having a hard time finding her books that she likes that are romance but not erotic. I'm sure my sister would not be pleased with me if I gave her an erotic book! It's been awhile since I've worried about censoring my books so I was hoping I could get some more recently published books that would be suitable for her. Thanks!

What kind of romance does she prefer?
Off the top of my head, for just general romance, I would suggest Nicholas Sparks.
I've read most of his books, and they tend to not 'show' much at all.

Do you have examples of books that she's enjoyed?
I have a bunch of teenage girls in my family. Books they've raved about include Eleanor & Park, The Fault in Our Stars, Letters to the Lost, If I Stay (and the sequel), Anna and the French Kiss (I think this is a trilogy).

I'd say in this sense that you could probably pick up almost anything by Sarah Dessen and it would fit the bill. More notable ones are This Lullaby, The Truth About Forever, Just Listen, and Once and For All.

One of my favourite teen romance books in Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. It is a sweet story that deals a lot with how girls see themselves and how they choose to see themselves and act as they grow up. Also the main love interest's name is Levi and he's one of my favourite book boyfriends.
It's been a while since I've read it but I'm pretty sure there is some mentions of sex but its definitely far from being erotic.

Authors I recommend: Sarvenaz Tash, Maureen Goo, Meg Cabot, Shana Norris. They all write young adult-targed romance.

E.D. Baker's, Shannon Hale's, and Gail Carson Levine's books are a great choice if she likes stories with fantastical elements and doesn't only read contemporary fiction!

To add something not already suggested before - try Jenny Han books. To All The Boys I've Loved Before trilogy is incredibly good and also deals with family and relationships in a subtle way. The romance is spot on and does not in any way tend toward erotic. John Green books are also good, if she hasn't already read them yet! My personal favourote was Paper Towns. Do let us know if she read and liked any of these!

I specifically remember reading Lurlene McDaniel when I was young. Definitely young teen appropriate romance.

Uh maybe Princess Diaries series (though I read that when I was in elementary school so idk if that fits but the first book is about highschool so I guess it works still)
When I was in highschool Twilight and Hunger Games was the craze though. I believe Divergent is similar to Hunger Games.
I want to say Gossip Girl too since it has a highschool setting but it's probably for older teens not for 14 year olds >.<"

"The Secret Countess" (also known as "A Countess Below Stairs") and "The Reluctant Heiress" (also known as "Magic Flutes") by Eva Ibbotson. These were the pinnacle of romances for me, when I was a teen. The other Ibbotson romances are quite good, too: "A Company of Swans" and "The Morning Gift" especially. "Madinsky Square" and "A Song for Summer" are good too, but I didn't appreciate them as a teen, really.
