I'm looking for books that are similar to the tv show Charmed as in they feature strong female leads and then focuses more on the familial aspects or the drama, not really so much the magic itself. I'm just looking for something a little less depressing/dark and a little more light hearted in the magical world.

Have you read the Throne of Glass series? It's fairly lighthearted with some darker undertones but overall, it focuses less on the protagonist's (Celaena) magic and more on her relationships.
