Hi, Violet. Here are my recommendations.

Red Spy in Harbin
by Mark Oulton

I am reading this one right now. It is about how the Chinese Communist Party— Red Army resisted and fought against the Chinese Nationalist Party— Army and the Japanese Armies in the 1920s and 30s. This one might be more interesting to you. The main character is a spy. Once I finish the book I will do a review of it. When I selected it as a book to review, I downloaded the PDF version that was offered by OBC. The story is nice with lots of details and historical facts.

So far these are the only two that I have read regarding authoritarian regimes and resistance. Have a nice day.
