Looking for good summer reads!

Post by MRose200293 »

Hello! My name is Morgan. My summer has been very uneventful and I'm in desperate need of some new books haha.

My favourite genre is slice of life, and I'm not a huge fan of fantasy.

My all-time favourite books are Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe (Benjamin Alire Sáenz), I'll Give You the Sun (Jandy Nelson), and Carry On (Rainbow Rowell).

I also really enjoy LGBT+ novels.

Thank you! :D

Since you enjoy reading about the mysteries of life, I would recommend you to read Inner Engineering by Sadhguru. I is a great book to explore your inner dimensions. This is also my personal favourite. I benefitted greatly by following the methods in this book. I hope you will like it.

You should definitely try 1. Red, White and Royal Blue, 2. We Contain Multitudes and 3. The Henna Wars 4. The Falling in Love Montage, they're all very queer don't worry. :)

"100 Days of Sunlight" by Abbie Emmons is the first book that came to mind, though I'm afraid the lead couple are of opposite genders.

I can't believe I still haven't read "Red, White & Royal Blue"; I want to read it so bad.

I reckon "Call Me By Your Name" by André Aciman is a gay romance novel that could be a good summer read for someone, depending on their age.

I am a huge fan of the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan and The Black Magician trilogy by Trudi Canavan. Both are very well written and keep you engaged the whole way through!

Since you enjoy Aristotle and Dante, I would recommend Carry On, by Rainbow Rowell. It is a great read.
