I found the book quite frightening to read. The violent scene of chopping off fingers was too graphic and I disliked it most.

I like Julia, the wife of Mr Callghan.

I found the end of this book quite satisfying. I love being wrong about my predictions when it comes to crime solving and suspense novels. I like to think I'm right, and then have my theory turned upside down. This was the case with The Lost Identity Casualties by Kim Ekemar.

I like the book for creativity in description the tortures and emotions that the characters felt. It felt relatable like that could be my reaction if I was put through the same situation. Matthias was a bit excessive in his revenge arc but I tried to see things from his perspective.
