I just finished reading that book last week and those details were indeed gruesome. It could have helped if there were trigger warnings but I believe there were none.

Some people are sensitive to this kind of gruesomeness, but I think it’s reality. Yes, we have all been exposed to much worse through both reading and TV(movies). Perhaps there should be some sort of disclaimer included with the book to discourage those bothered by the gore from reading.

The scenes were vivid and gruesome but that only worked in the books favour to make it more realistic and creative.
