I discovered these forums a little while ago and after reading a very pleasant exchange of opinions on a Byron poem, I decided to register.

I live in Chicago, and I'm trying to gather as much as I can from reading as many books as I can. I have acquired a disgusting number of unread books in my collection, which I'm hoping to finish before the end of the year.

So far this year, I've read about 30 books. They cover a very wide range of genres and types. Lately, I've been getting very into books about history and German fiction (Translated to English; I wish I could read German).

I'm also trying to memorize a few poems every month or so. Any help or suggestions for that would be fantastic.

Can't wait to dive into threads on this forum.
