Egads, a sale.

Doing some unrelated checking to find some stats for my third book I found it actually had a sale. Nearly fainted but luckily I was sitting.
Reason I'm stating this, as a -sole trader- the book appeared November last year and wondered if others have similar occurrences. Not after details more like whether sales are minimal because having looked at some big reader writers site, no mentions but to have this one day promotion at one site cost $19,000!!! How can an independent writer compete. Maybe why the same old same old book plots are shoved up front and the creators who are original vanish. I approached a few retailers and they said they choose who they promote. Claiming that they are not for sale. This is good. Except they seem to be promoting writers who already have huge exposure. Honesty might help. Why can't they have cheap advertising deals.
