Hello everyone! My name is Linnea. I'm originally from the US but have been living in Japan for about 6 years and working as a travel agent. I've been an avid reader since I was a kid, but since I started reading more self-published books I started to really get a feel for what made a book well-written, and for what I personally enjoy in one (I find that "objectively well-written" and "personally enjoyable to read" aren't always the same). A few years ago, an aspiring author friend of mine asked me to critique some of her work, and I really enjoyed giving feedback on it and advising her on where I thought it could improve. Wanting to continue with that type of discussion, I started looking for some type of online group where I could discuss books with others or potentially give feedback to aspiring authors, and recently came across this site. I look forward to talking to you all here!
