I read pretty much every genre, but my go-to genre will have to be fantasy. I always tend to reach for fantasy books. I crave a good reading about dragons, mystical powers, new worlds, and anything that makes my mind run wild with imagination. :techie-studyinggray:

Mystery & suspense are what get me turning pages! But it has to be realistic. I've never enjoyed fantasy much. Dystopia is also great. Again though, it needs to be realistic to hold my attention.

Any type of fantasy or a mystery. I like books that make it incredibly hard for me to set it down and usually those genres do it.

I love fantasy and dystopian books. It's hard to go wrong with those genres I think. I used to really love cheesy romances and Lurlene McDaniel type books, but it has been a long time since I touched those.

A well-written fantasy universe can capture my attention like nothing else can. Sometimes, if the book is really good, I get stuck in the universe for a few days. It's like I can't escape from the book even though I have finished reading it!
I also love fast-paced thrillers. Detective fiction with a female detective? Awesome!

Mystery/true crime, or historical fiction.
My grandfather was a police officer, and I guess I follow in his footsteps with my need to figure things out.
Also, history has always intrigued me.

If it's a historical fiction mystery I'm in heaven!

Usually, I read all kinds of books all the time. However, if I'm having a bad day, I'd like to have some excitement. My go-to genre is mostly mystery or sci-fi.

I tend to go for Sci fi military thrillers or apocalypse books. I found Jonathon Mayberry, Chuck Hogan, and Iain Rob Wright are some of the authors gracing the screen of my Kindle as of late.

My go to genre is sci fi/fantasy as well as young adult. Now if I can find them all in one book I'm set and in love. I keep going back to these genres because they keep me interested and guessing and it automatically takes me out of my reality and straight into the book and I forgot about everything except the story I'm reading.

My go-to genre has to be fantasy fiction. I love it because the opportunities are endless the imagination that they have to put in behind it and the world that you get lost in is so much fun.

Hmmmm ..my go to genre is fantasy mystery realistic. Currently I'm a lot in to children's books thanks to my 12 year old. And I'm totally excited about finding this online book club. need to be in a specific mood to read romance which doesn't come very often
