What's your go-to genre?

My go to genre is YA fiction especially fantasy and dystopian. I'm in love with fairy tales. I am also a person who re reads books if I love them! My all time fave books are Harry Potter and Eragon series. I read just to read. I've never reviewed or posted on forums before so this is my first time! So I'm excited to give it a go!

I am a sucker for a feel good romance novel, preferably set at Christmas time!! I love the Christmas season and the magic of that time of year just adds to the romance, I think.

Debbie Macomber is one of my favorites for this, but it really doesn't matter who wrote it. If it's a Christmas romance chances are that I'll love it!! ?

I definitely go back to YA, cause I'm not completely on-board about reading how someone else has sex (I couldn't get past chapter one of Fifty Shades of Grey, btw ) I love young adult books with elements of romance and fantasy, usually werewolves, witches, dragons, etc. I like to bring in a little bit of imagination and fantasy into my life cause God knows, I bet I will not be flying on a dragon in this life, but I can do it through hundreds of different people that live in the books.

It really depends on what mood I'm in. If I've had a stressful day at work I go straight for the shock horror and deviantly sexual books (not sure horror exactly sums these books up, maybe horror smut might be a better term?) of Edward Lee or Bentley Little. I read a lot of cross genre books but it seems I'm always reading something that could be summed up in the suspense genre.

I love Romance, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and will read a Biographie if I have a special liking of the person.

I love anything to do with history. It can be romance, a mystery, suspense. It does not matter. I love learning new things.

My go-to genre is definitely sci-fi/fantasy. I love this genre because it is so different from real life, that it allows me to fully escape life. I think it gives my brain a rest from thinking too hard, because I can just read the words on the page and it will give my brain the information it needs to present a full picture without having to develop it on its own. I have always found the creativity in the fantasy genre to be fascinating as well. It is amazing the different things that people's minds dream up.

Hi..I am new on here..I always go to romance/erotica type books..I'd like to read other books but afraid I won't stay interested...I love Maya banks..Sylvia day..Laura thinner the species series..I have wanted to join a book club for so long..not sure on how this works..I'd really like to read a good book and have a group of people to talk to about it that have read it to..hoping this site is a good fit.

Time and time again, I find myself reading dystopian books. I loved the Maze Runner and the Hunger Games. So if it's not dystopian than it is Thriller or a book that makes my heart beat a little faster and keeps me on the edge of my seat.

I love to read books that make you think, as well as any title that pushes the norms (especially those that tackle morals and values). Although I have to admit, the Harry Potter series remains my (not so) guiltiest pleasure.

In all honesty I don't have a favorite genre. I like to keep moving between contemporary fiction, to classics and also nonfiction regardless of what genre is represented. My favorite books of all time are all over the map in regard to genres.

When I was younger, I'd always go directly to high fantasy or mystery. There was something enticing about surrealism and the problems of other that offered an escape.

Now that I'm older, I'm drawn more to realistic fiction. I'm intrigued by charcter motivations and conflicts that mirror those I witness and experience in real life. I am draw to both the mirror and window-like powers of realistic stories.
