Can you give us a hint about the second book? What is it about?

It's called Despicable Witch and it's based in New Orleans. There is a coven there who has been taken over by a witch who is evil and one of the witches hires the McQueen Investigation Agency to help get rid of her. Doug, Scott, Charlie & Sheila are all back as well as a couple other characters you may remember. There are twists and turns and more ghosts and ghouls! And yes, I love The Originals too, but this isn't really influenced by that at least not consciously. I am working hard to get it out to you guys! I hope you like it!

I'm trying to figure out the floor plan of Charlie's house, did you ever draw one to work with? Everything I can think of is much larger than a single woman would actually want to keep up with, especially if her livelihood was something as time consuming as art.

Yes. I actually have a true story about my first marriage that I've been wanting to write for a long time. I went through a lot at a very early age.

I have always loved horror even at the age of ten I was watching scary movies alone. I don't really know what the appeal is for me, but it's there and always has been. I am greatly influenced by Stephen King and Deam Koomtz and authors like them. I really got into John Saul's books as a young teen.

Yes, I did map it out a bit. Charlie didn't pick out the house alone, she was with Jay when she bought it and I think she thought they would be together and live there. She ended up with the house when he left.

The house only had a kitchen, living area, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, or so they thought. Charlie had no idea that there was an extra room behind her closet or part of a passageway with a cellar/ dungeon until it was uncovered later.

The original house was huge back in the day, but all that was left were these rooms and some had been renovated for Charlie.

I remember being fascinated with Halloween when I was little and I was always drawn to the scary, creepy costumes, no princesses for me! Lol! I told my mother that I wished I could've gotten away with the whole goth thing, but I was a twirler in HS and pretty visible in other activities, so it wouldn't fly back in my day. Lol!
No-one knew how twisted I really was. I was the sweet girl next door. Haha!

Do you believe in ghosts and anything that has to do with paranormal?

Yes ma'am! I have seen several and so has my husband. There is one story in particular I will share, although I have many, Lol! I went to stay with my cousin in NE. They have an old farm house and I wasn't comfortable in the room she put me in to sleep. I told her that I wanted another room, but she insisted that I stay in that room. There was a closet with sliding doors just across from the bed. I made sure the doors were closed and went to sleep. At about 2 am, a noise woke me. When I opened my eyes, there was a lady wearing a headscarf staring at me from the closet. I got out of the bed, went to my cousin's bedroom, stood at the end of her bed and said, "Hey!" Loud enough to wake her up. She woke up, saw me stranding there and said, "Did you see the lady in the closest?" I was so pissed at her.

They later did research on the house and found out that a woman was abused by her husband, locked in a closet and died in the house. They walled off the closet and made the room into an office. They found the closet went all the way up to the second floor closet and the ghost just appeared to my cousin's daughters upstairs. I don't know if they ever got rid of her. It was creepy. ?
