I've never come to a firm conclusion on ghosts. I put them in the same category as aliens, Bigfoot, the Lock Ness Monster, etc. I've never seen any evidence of them personally, but I know enough to know that my experience is far from the full experience of reality (whatever reality is).

I've seen and heard so many different things about ghosts/spirits/etc, and despite even hearing things from people I know, I don't personally believe in ghosts. Despite that, I don't refute other people's experiences or beliefs; I don't know if that's God's way of communicating or what it may be, and would never think any less of anyone for their beliefs. :D

Absolutely I believe in ghost. I have had personal experiences. I have had sightings but no encounters.

I believe. Ghosts are real in my world. Both good and evil. Though, I've never come upon an evil one. I've never seen one but have felt and heard them. Ghosts, in my opinion, are souls of people. Our ancestors. Evil spirits and demons. I believe that our ancestors walk with us every day. I don't mind when the good ones are around. It's the negative that I wish away. Sage helps with that.

Yes, I believe in ghosts. It also seems that there are many different types of spiritual entities that sometimes cross over into our realm. Reading this book has reminded me of another book entitled, "The Entity", that was supposedly based on actual events.
It also seems that referring to all spiritual entities as "ghosts" might be as short sighted as calling everything in the sea, fish. I doubt that the variety of beings that exist in the spiritual realm can all be painted with a broad brush stroke, and still be understood accurately. I do find that it is fascinating to ponder on it while I struggle to try to quantify the phenomena.

L_Therese wrote:There are a lot of different opinions about what ghosts are and how they interact with living people. This book is predicated on the idea that they are real and can cause an effect for a living person. Do you believe in ghosts or spirits? Are they good or evil? How do they affect corporeal reality? If you don't believe, did this affect your enjoyment of the book?
I do believe in forms after death, though I have not encountered (touch wood not!) any!
Everyone has a ghost in them (!), which makes them move and live. Without a body, it
becomes a ghost. Whether they are good or evil - can't say. It would depend on what
kind of properties it acquired during its life in the body and its tendencies - what it is
attracted towards.

Even if I don't believe, I would still enjoy the book as a time-pass.

I have much trouble with this topic all the time. Sometimes I see weird images or hear creepy noises when I'm the only one home. However, I do believe in ghosts just not in maybe the same way others do. I believe they can be good and evil

I do believe in ghosts. I believe that they are something that was trapped here for some sort of unknown reason. I don't believe they can harm us. I think that the good or evil lies within who they were as a person before they passed. I believe they give off energy and can interact with you as they want. It's a cool subject and it's unknown and the unknown is intriguing!

To me, ghosts and spirits are one in the same. They can be either good or evil. I feel that whether they are good or evil is based on how they were in life just like the characters were in this book. My views on how they affect reality is unclear. I am unsure whether they can or not having been in contact with one myself. I did enjoy how the author incorporated the different types of ghosts into this piece and how their living qualities continued to shine through even after death.

Ghosts can most definitely be real. I had a friend move out of her house because she claimed she would see a young girl standing in hallways late at night. She also said that some nights she would hear footsteps walking up the stairs. Yes, that probably would make me move out too. I think that the more someone believes in paranormal activity, the more stuff will get blamed on them.

I believe in something.... At times it is a bit confusing. I am what most would call a medium- one who sees spirits. It is not always a pleasant experience. I think what I believe is that there are only angels and demons. The good ones are angels. The bad ones are demons. I wish it was that simple to tell them apart- but a lot of them like deceiving you. So long story short, I do not think I believe in spirits- I believe in the afterlife though :)

I have to agree with you that the more someone believes, the more they feel it is related to the paranormal. I would freak out and move out too if I had been in your friend's situation. Possibly also burn down the house.
