This is the third book in the Turn series that is driven by fantasy. The Sins of a Master Race is a post-apocalyptic novel that needs to be read in conjunction with the other novels of the turn series in order to appreciate third novel fully.

The novel pans over three months and the author, Matthew Tysz set the book in a dark period after the death of King May. We meet two God-killers named Ashley and Scholar. These are the first characters we are introduced to. They are completely different from each other but both play pivotal roles in developing the story as they both have their own story of how they have come so far. Their abilities are beyond mortality thus being extremely powerful which we notice early in the novel. They use these abilities to destroy Gods. This is one of the focal points that we notice and the book is extremely fast paced hence I was hooked to this book as we are introduced early to actions scenes.

Matthew Tysz also introduces us to set of cousins named Aurora and Maron Defury who are set on vengeance against the Gods. They are highly determined and assist Ashley and Maron in their task against the destruction of the Gods. With these four characters being the central focus, they make the novel exciting in terms of the way their character unfold and also make the book pleasantly enjoyable to read. Aurora and Ashley don’t speak often to each other but share a race intimacy and it is through this we notice that all the characters are getting closer and developing a deep bond.

The novel takes us to another universe as it is a well-constructed book that highly suited for fantasy lovers. I particularly enjoyed the fact that Matthew Tysz takes his reader to a new world that is filled with great depths of fantasy and unique races. I found it captivating that the author explores deep depths of a world that is consumed by darkness and where souls are tortured.

The book has several plots twists that would keep any reader hooked because you don’t know what to expect. The novel does contain a lot of vulgarity therefore it is well suited for adults that crave books that are far from reality. There were no errors which I was very impressed with as this author has a unique narration style.

I did dislike the fact that we are introduced to several characters and I did find that confusing initially however once you pursue reading the book it all unfolds. I did feel that the characters emotional states should have been discussed further so a reader could fully comprehend all that the characters have been through therefore I give the book 3 out of 4 stars.

Book is best suited to people who enjoy dark fantasy. Matthew Tysz wrote a very unique book that would transport any reader to a new world filled with magic. This novel is worth every bit of it.
