The first time I saw this book Cell Biology for Babies, I was really intrigued. Honestly, I haven’t seen any children’s book talking about the human cell. So, I was interested to see how this one looked like. And I’m glad to say that Dr. Haitham Ahmed did a wonderful job here.

Cell Biology for Babies is an illustrative children’s book that talks about the human cell and its components. The book started with an illustration of the human cell as a whole, and an easy-to-understand definition for it. Then, the subsequent pages focused on explaining the various cell components and their roles to the cell and the body as a whole. Each cell component has its page.

To begin with, I liked how the author used the simplest forms of grammar while giving his explanations. Making it an easy-to-read for kids. Then I noticed an excellent job on the illustrations. The colors were bright enough, and the diagrams were well-descriptive. While explaining the cell components at each page, the illustrator tried to single out the particular component in question using a different color, while the rest will be painted with one color. That way, kids can identify the components and their different roles at a glance. I also liked how the author made the book a bit interactive by putting up a question at each page. This way, kids would follow properly.

There was absolutely nothing I disliked about the book. I think it’s perfect for kids. Putting up a book like this will help kids understand science to some extent at a young age.

Generally, I find this book perfect. I did not find any error, it was properly written and well-edited. Therefore, I would rate it 4 out of 4 stars. I would happily recommend it to all kids.
