Timewise by Robert Leet is a sci-fi novel delving into the scientific world of physics and quantum physics and a little bit of mathematics.

The main character, Ron Larsen, is an orphan at a young age interested in Mathematics. His studies are enhanced by his meeting Regina Russo, a teacher of Physics at his school. They would meet many times so that Regina could explain her theories on quantum physics. She was delighted to have someone listening and acting interested in her theories.

Ron had a total crush on her, but their age difference was key in their relationship. Ron was enticed by her theories, but somewhat confused. When Ron finished High School, their meetings continued and Regina financially and emotionally gave Ron the support to continue his education. Regina would pay his college as long as he got all “A’s” and he definitely had no problem living up to that requirement. He studied the classes that could enhance his chance of using his mathematical mind in business.

Ron lived up to his arrangement with Regina and got his degree and continued to further his education. While attending school he met some very unusual and extremely wise characters. The relationships Ron forms throughout the book are enjoyable, as they share different views of the world around them. The insights and explorations of these relationships were of great interest to both Ron and the reader. My most favorite aspect of the book was how each character was different from the others and how it enhanced a different segment in Ron’s life. Many of the experiences Ron encountered were definitely unpredictable.

The part I liked least was the physics’ explanations. Sometimes they were a little wordy and took something away from the flow of the story, not to mention very confusing from time to time.

Each chapter kept me interested in all the different aspects of the description of physics and mathematics that consume our daily lives. Every character in the book had a different insight into the world and how they learned to explore and express their thoughts.

I would recommend this book to anyone with an open mind to seeing the world in different ways. The book was an enjoyable read for me and I’m giving it a 3 out of 4 rating. The book was well edited and there were only minor punctuation and typo errors. Robert Leet has a very imaginative mind.
