Review by Moocow1213 -- 80Bites The Dancers Diet
80Bites The Dancers Diet by PhysicalMind Institute is a book that focuses on a gradual diet plan based on hormones. This diet program concentrates on not how often you eat but also how much you’re eating. 80Bites The Dancers Diet by PhysicalMind Institute shows you a 12-step program with tips on how to reduce snacking and how to eat the right way.
The thing that I liked most about the book was the focus that the author placed on foods not being ‘good’ or ‘bad’. The distance created by using this terminology provides the reader with a distinct perspective on food. The second thing that I liked most about this book, was the mixture of media used throughout the writing, for example, videos were linked in each chapter, and images were included as well. However, there were unfortunately, many things that I disliked about this book.
One of the things I disliked most about the book was the harmful jargon that reoccurred throughout the book. One example of this harmful terminology is in the statement ‘Do anything other than stuff more food into your small mouth'. I also disliked the perspective shared on the diet industry and found another statement that could be considered offensive referring to Estrogen in cows and its dangerous nature. There are also other harmful references written throughout the book, which I disliked.
In terms of the diet’s structure, I appreciated the simplicity of the plan, and the selection of doable exercises included. Any diet program benefits from simplicity, and this repeatedly was shown in 80Bites The Dancers Diet by PhysicalMind Institute.
This book also contained some grammatical errors on words like ‘Harmones’ for ‘Hormones’, ‘Viggies’ for ‘Veggies’, ‘than’ for ‘then’ and ‘foodsaa’ for ‘foods’. And because of both the harmful terminology and the grammatical errors, I rate this book 2 out of 4 stars. I gave this book 2 stars because of the wording used, the incorrect grammar, and because personally, this book wasn’t enjoyable to read. I did not give this book 1 star as I believe that some individuals may consider the science behind this book interesting. I also decided not to rate this book 3 stars because I did not enjoy this read, and because of the reasons I’ve stated.
Overall, I can’t recommend this book to everyone, but I feel that some individuals who would like a fresh light on diet culture might enjoy this book. And individuals who would like to on go a well-structured diet, with videos and images included.
