WE ARE VOULHIRE The Fires of Virko

This is the second book of the We Are Voulhire series. In this installation, all eyes are on the industrial city of Virko. The city is on the verge of power transition and the dawn of a new age. This arouses a lot of uncertainties and exposes a myriad of convoluted secret plans. The trio, Galen, Rowan and the monk, Demetrius arrive in the city in search for iron. Everything spirals quickly out of hand as the city is suddenly under siege. The city is attacked by a plague of demons, which results in tragedy and chaos. The demons threaten to take total control of the city and the future of Virko doesn't look so bright anymore, as they may be forced into the eternal dark ages. Indeed, calamity has befallen Virko.

In the We Are Voulhire The Fires of Virko book, we are welcomed into the world that thrives on sovereignty and dark magic. This is a world of politics, business, monarchy and greed. The land of Voulhire is always under the threat of incursions and intrusion by the enemy, and there's a lot of terror and torture within the land. There's a growing division between the rich and poor. People are deprived even though they work harder than ever, and now they may be faced with a deadly pandemic.

Like others in this series, the book is told from different perspectives. This is a sci-fiction themed fantasy which is about heredity, dominance, and power. Religion and spirituality play a major role in the structuring of the book. The essence of family and the need for love are the core aspects of the plot. Secrets, lust, and desire provides for the depth of the book and are among the things that people use to climb the ladder of success and survival. The readiness to adapt in this ever-changing world is the one aspect that helps leaders to lead, survivors to survive, and sieves the worthy from the masses.

This book focuses on the ongoing battle between science, technology and religion. It is also about what it's like to be a leader, a provider and what it's like to be in charge. It's about the pride and prize of the throne and significance of inherited power. It is about trading, trust and the threat of treason and disloyalty. It's about honor as well as survival. The book plays a role in exploring uncertainty, capitalization and relinquishment. The plot is centered around vengeance, loyalty and one's deepest and darkest desires. The author did a lot in revealing the secret lives of those with great affluence and political power, but also focused on the magnificent power possessed by those who are able to tap into the world of magic.

The one thing I like about this book is how insightful it is concerning spirituality and existence. There's nothing I didn't like about it and i recommend it to those who like action, science-fiction and fantasy. Due to the gravity of violence contained in this book, i advise that it be read by those in appropriate ages. I rate it a 4 out of 4 because it was exceptionally edited, interesting and insightful.
