Review by ShelleyH -- Business Basics BootCamp
Believe in yourself and you can accomplish anything! This is the main thought I ended with after finishing Business Basics Bootcamp by Mitche Graf. This tome delivers exactly what its name implies. As a person who has owned a small business for over 15 years, I give this book a 4 out 4 stars rating. The information presented was not only relevant and timely but was offered in a way that was engaging and exciting.
When reading this book, one can tell that Mitche Graf is not only an author but also a motivational speaker. Lots of ideas and axioms were repeated several times throughout the book which gave the manuscript a feeling of inspirational persuasion. The writing was consistently positive and encouraging, leading one to trust that success and profits in business are possible if one is willing to put in a little effort in the right parts of one’s business.
Another great aspect of this book was the numerous examples given. Mr. Graf used several practical examples in each chapter to give the reader extra insight into his concepts. Some of the examples were from real-life scenarios and some were made up stories to validate a point. All of his mid-chapter illustrations seemed relevant and repeatable making this reader believe one could easily replicate the accomplishments demonstrated.
Each chapter in Business Basics Bootcamp contained practical advice as well. Advice was given on how to handle social media, how to deal with difficult customers, how to begin a marketing campaign, how to price your product correctly, how to create your brand, and much more. The suggestions Mr. Graf presented were doable and helpful, and they could propel anyone’s business further towards additional earnings. This business owner has already started implementing several of Mr. Graf’s proposals.
The best idea offered in this book was that Mr. Graf believes we can work less and still attain profits from our businesses. He teaches one how to work smarter, not harder. He leads one to value their personal life and spiritual pursuits as much as to value their business lives and goals. Mr. Graf believes in work-life harmony and he has given maxims in this book to help anyone achieve a way of living that prioritizes our families and personal aspirations over our careers. One can have a successful and thriving business without sacrificing the other more important areas of our lives. Life balance is achievable! Business Basics Bootcamp will show you the path. I will recommend this book to anyone looking to start a business or to revitalize a business they already have.
