Review by biblichore_pages -- The Judge part 1 and 2
After reading the description of this book when I tried to relate it with the title, the first thought that came in my mind was, "If the judge himself will commit crime, then who will punish him?" But, as I read the book I understood that the storyline is far different from what it seems. The Judge: Part 1 and The Judge: Part 2 by Ian RB Morris are two separate books read and reviewed in a single assignment.
The story starts with Bobby Black, a male prostitute being found murdered. Black was a special prostitute, employed by London's elites. He was always forced to keep their relationship with him a secret. But, these high society people were unaware that Black kept diaries of the names and details of each of his customers. The judge, Sir Justin Gordon Hodge, High Court criminal judge, who was once a client of Black, is now being framed for Black's murder. Peter Ritchie, a lawyer, has taken the case in his hands and is all set to expose the real murderer of Bobby Black. Will he be able to save the judge?
This story grabbed my attention from the very beginning. The writing style of the author was captivating. He excellently portrayed all the characters. The characters were shown as rebels with a cause. The story swings between the past of Bobby Black and the presents of the judge and the lawyer. There is also a lot of humor in the book which makes it even more interesting. All the characters, the judge, the lawyer and Bobby Black, seemed to be fun-loving and likeable. I also loved the portrayal of Peter Ritchie's girlfriend, Naomi. She was always very supportive and sweet.
The thing I loved the most was the twist provided in the books after almost every chapter. It kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the read. I loved the way the author lined up the drama keeping the suspense till the very end. The books were so fast-paced that I didn't realize when I finished the first part and started with the second one.
I award The Judge: Part 1 and The Judge: Part 2 by Ian RB Morris, four out of four stars. The books deserve this perfect rating because I didn't dislike anything in the books and they kept me entertained throughout. I recommend these books to the lovers of thriller, adventure, mystery and romance genres. I suggest the reader buying both the books together because you wouldn't want to wait for the next read after the first part.
