Review of How To Be Successful
[Following is a volunteer review of "How To Be Successful" by M. Curtis McCoy.]
How To Be Successful by M Curtis McCoy is a non-fiction,self help book. It was a series of interviews with the people who McCoy considered as successful. In those interviews, everyone answered to the same set of questions but with their experiences and perspectives. The questions that was asked were the most repeatedly asked to a successful person from a common person, The questions that we would want to ask, There are a lot of people who would want to ask these questions for changing themselves for the better. It was brief book but it had so much to learn from.It had a lot of insights of many experienced people who went through a lot of things.
About the author
McCoy is a chief executive officer, successful entrepreneur, influencer, personal development author and a speaker. He has been through a lot of difficult times in his life yet he never let others decide his limit. When he was given just a few months to live, he won the battle with a malignant cancer. He has overcome all the struggles and became a successful person in both personal and professional life.
To every young minds who are dreaming to be successful in the future, In both professional and personal life it is the book. There were many people who have given piece of their mind. When we have to talk about negative aspects, I wouldn’t say it as a negative but it may be a disclaimer that different opinions may confuse you but I’m sure that this book would help you with a clarity in your mind. And everyone has also told what it takes to be them and took for them to become one in the early stages of their career. They have not only spoken about the advantages but the disadvantages too. One of the most beautiful line in the book was - "Don't ask what the world needs, but ask what makes you come alive because what the world needs is you fully alive." - page 107
How To Be Successful is a really good book, I would definitely recommend it for someone who is interested in business and self development books and any age group can read and learn lot. Since there is zero errors which is rare, It seems like professionally edited. I would rate three out of four because I throughly enjoyed it.
"Walk with the dreamers, the believers, the courageous, the cheerful,the planner, the doers, the successful people with their heads in the clouds and their feet on the ground. Let their spirit ignite a fire within you to leave this world better than when you found it." - Page 171.
