A World Diverse is a poetry book written by David Edmond. This poetry book is a collection of various poems about faith, feelings, and friendship. The book centres on different themes like love, God, believes, happiness, death, etc.

David’s wife was diagnosed with a deadly disease, and he eventually lost her. He began to question what life was all about. After the death of his wife, he began to view all situations with different emotions. These poems were written to express his thoughts, questions, emotions, loss, grieve and healing.

The book contains twenty individual poems, which were all concise and straightforward. These made the book easy to read and follow. Reading through this poetry book, one can conclude that most of the poems are about hope, trusting in God for a miracle, a loss and the healing that comes after. The poems were a glimpse into the author’s mind at various points of his life, and they were structured to attract the reader and make him or her share in his emotion.

The author tackles a different aspect of life and faith. He presented them easily for proper understanding. I liked the moral lesson that each poem passed to the readers. Some of them will help the readers understand that life is like a puzzle that is being revealed one piece at a time. The other added pieces, bringing meaning to every piece around them. Therefore, we need to believe in a higher power that makes things fit at the right time. I enjoyed the author’s poetic skills, as they are praiseworthy and enjoyable. The author’s poems show appreciation of life and death as a final piece to life. I felt all the emotions, pain, hope and passion of the author which emanated from each verse of his poems. The poems are also not lengthy, and the author used simple language with deep meaning to pass his message throughout this book. I enjoyed the aspect in which the author talked about believing. He talks about accepting our trials and sorrow base on the faith we have in God. He shared his belief that our actions on Earth will be rewarded by God, whom we trust. All these made me enjoy this book.

I did not dislike anything in this poetry book, as I was entertained and given some ideas to viewing life differently. This book was also professionally edited with no errors noticed. Therefore, I will rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I will be recommending this book to lovers of poetry with a theme revolving around life.
