The story begins from the date December 7, 1941. The author's family is at aunt Alice's house, where they receive the news of the Pearl Harbor attack. The fear of losing Eden due to war encompasses. The family begins its preparations for Christmas, centered on Hank, the oldest brother of George. Hank is on leave from the Naval Academy to celebrate Christmas with his family. At this stage, George is seven years and two weeks old, and he has three elder brothers Hank, Bob, and Bill. His father is a politician, an active democrat. George considers Eden to be a place where needs meet, and we live at peace.

The book …on your way home… Do this by George Six is the life story of the author himself. The author describes the events that unfolded all his life. He begins by narrating about his childhood and then his brothers’ life achievements. The regrets his brothers had with their lives. He tells about his journey to and in the Episcopalian church. From the love for singing in his childhood to the various position, he worked on in the churches. His sincerity towards his service for different worldly issues at the respected places including alcoholism, racism, politics, abortion, contraceptives, depression, rape, incest, and gender issues. He and his wife Irene, who worked with him side-by-side supporting him, and this book is dedicated to her, worked towards community service, including health, education, and housing. They worked for the church in taking viable decisions, theology, preaching, rebuilding many churches, and ordination for women.

The author states that all are in search of Eden and, he believes that life is a quest to maintain and regain Eden. According to the author, it is ironic that the loss of Eden begins with the knowledge of good and evil.

The book is well-organized into chapters which makes it easy to understand. Moreover, it does not contain many mistakes. The thing I liked about this book is that it spreads positivity and advises people to do good. The author wants to propagate peace and, he directs people to exercise free will for the benefit of all the people.

The negative aspect of this book is that it dives deeply into the different environments of the churches and talks in detail about the different scenarios and proceedings in the churches. This book also elaborates on the church administrations and how they work, which is not beneficial for people.

Overall, the book is good. People can learn a lot about life. I have come across a couple of profanities in the book. It talks a lot about church administrations which is irrelevant. I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars because of the reasons stated above.

I recommend this book to people of all ages who want to seek a spiritual path. The book gives wise lessons from the author's life experiences.
