Review of Jane Grace: Library of Light
Jane grace: The Library of Light is a fantasy book written by Trace Sonnleitner. The author tells about Rubelle a city in ruins. It's one of the six cities that remained after the great war. Jane grace is one of the survivors of Rubelle. Everyone is talking about watchers and the prophecy of the chosen one who would save them out of this despair. They are waiting for the chosen one. He is their ray of hope others drink up their sorrows. To Jane, this sounds like any other fairy tale. She misses her parents and she has not been herself since the war. She is busy helping the survivors and working with her friends Henry and Lander to bring water back to the city.
Jane Grace is chosen by the world council to represent Rubelle. She goes to the city of New Atlantis which is built within the pyramid, which is very colorful made of beautiful glass. After she arrives in Atlantis, she's amazed by what she discovers. Could the chosen one be real? Her hopes are awakened after she meets David Trimere the man behind the city of New Atlantis. David is a man with good leadership skills who is focused on people's similarities rather than their differences. He has advanced technology and the city is run by nano-technology. There is a lot of amazing features like the glass watch that communicates with the wearer and Richard the holographic blue man. In New Atlantis, everything looks perfect. Jane can feel David must be the chosen one.
She can't wait to come back and tell Lander about it. On her arrival, Lander is ready to take her on a journey to the countryside. She meets James, a man with a golden necklace that has magical powers. He also knows about the prophecy more. James also knows David from a different view from everyone else. Behind his ambitions of bringing people, he is ruthless and he is ready even to kill innocent people to take the position of the chosen one.
The writer did great work on the characters. I fell in love with all Jane she's strong-willed despite drinking herself to sleep. She's simple and lovable. she is building bridges over the cracks in the earth that were caused by bombs. I find Lander's technological genius. James, he's selfless he turns himself in for the sake of exposing David.
Jane's meeting with David I expected it to be more intense since she had doubts about from the word go about the chosen one. She was hesitant but I expected more. No profane language. There are no sex scenes.
I am giving Jane Grace 3 out of 4 stars. A 3 because I enjoyed reading it. It's masterfully edited. I would recommend this book to lovers of fantasy, adventure, and post-apocalyptic genres.
