Pandora’s Eyes by James M. Corkill is the fifth book in the Alex Cave Series. It is a story chock full of science fiction and intrigue. Our journey starts with our hero, Alex Cave, learning that four alien devices he had previously discovered and attempted to collect are scattered all across the planet, with one even ending up in space. As he looks into the devices’ whereabouts, the space device is activated. At the same time, a massive tornado spontaneously hits a town in an area that has never had tornados. While Alex and his friends are trying to track down the missing devices and figure out what is causing the storms, a massive spaceship is discovered trapped in the Arctic ice. Alex and his team are asked by the government to investigate the ship and find it is occupied by aliens. The aliens greet them with an ultimatum – get rid of everyone with the wrong eye color, or kiss humanity goodbye. It is a race against time for Alex Cave. Can he and the team pull it off? Dive into the book to find out.

I enjoyed reading this book. It has a believable sci-fi element while still being tied to the real world. It is fast-paced, with loads of action set on land, in the ocean, and even in space. The characters in the story are varied and unique, and their introduction is woven into the storyline naturally. The transition between scenes is clearly defined, making it easy to keep the story straight.

I did not find anything that I felt reflected negatively on the story or quality of the writing.

The book was a delight to read and made me want to find the other books in the series. I am also looking forward to Mr. Corkill's future work. I give it a solid 4 out of 4 stars.

I recommend this book to sci-fi fans that are teenagers and older simply because of the mild cursing involved.
