How To Be Successful - Think Like a Leader by M. Curtis McCoy is a well written guide and help, not only with being successful in business but it also gives advice for everyday life situations, personal life, and relationship wise. How To Be Successful – Think Like a Leader speaks on leadership, delayed gratification, developing positive attitudes, confidence and how to acquire and sustain healthy friendships and relationships. It also includes interviews with already successful people like CEOs, CMOs and self-made millionaires. It tells wholesome stories, all with a message behind them and a lesson to be learnt.

This book did not conform to prior expectation at all. Upon seeing this book, I originally thought that it was going to be a repetition of all the information stated in all those self-help books, utilizing the same briefly stated ideas only reconstructed to seem different but boy was I wrong. Though it has mostly the same ideas as those self-help books, it also goes more in depth with its points, seeing that some of the points are shown from a more personal point of view, this gives us a deeper look into the situation and strategies and what we ourselves can do to get through similar situations. This gives me a breath of fresh air and a refreshing relief from other self-help/ motivational books.

Getting a better view of what all these successful people went through, the insights on all their hardships, having them tell me personally what they would have done better, them giving me advice so I don’t make the same mistakes as they did and receiving quotes to get me through my day is for me the best part of the book. Not many issues were encountered throughout my read and this book is indeed worth the time put into it.

How To Be Successful – Think Like a Leader highlighted and enlightened me on topics I’ve been struggling with, and Curtis McCoy did an excellent job at explaining the many aspects of the points he wants to discuss. Not only does the book itself proves informative but it also recommends other books that many successful people read to help with different aspects of life, and this is indeed my favorite part. How To Be Successful – Think Like a Leader was undoubtedly professionally edited and I hadn’t noticed many errors, I rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars.

As this book is very informative and speaks about character development, healthy relationships, positive thinking, and attitude, building confidence and much more, I would recommend this book to anyone with the ambition, and mindset that strives to be successful in all areas of life no matter the age. This book is for absolutely anyone, kids, teen, or adults, if there’s a will, this book can help that person become a better version of themselves. How To Be Successful – Think Like a Leader was indeed worth the read.
