The story portrays Diana, a former paramedic who served in the army, looking for a job at a local factory in New Orleans. During a safety drill in the factory, she meets a man named Austin. As she goes about the safety drill, she witnessed the death of a man. The factory rules out the incident as an accident, but Austin feels that it was a murder and is determined to find out who was behind the killing of his friend. Diana and Austin go through the story together, unraveling the mysteries behind the death.

The book started off well, having the readers intrigued in a few pages. It was fast paced, interesting and made the reading easy. The story flowed rather well, but everything felt forced. The characters were not enjoyable. Everything was handed to them and they played no important role. Nothing set them apart from others or between themselves, causing the reader to get tired of what the character said or did.

Response of the characters to happenings in the story or how they spoke within themselves were not appealing. The element of surprise was given to the readers, but not to the characters themselves. The characters didn't know proper emotions. They did not express themselves well and throughout the book, very little was known about each character. The story was too easy, and thus became less interesting as it went on.

I rate it 2 out of 4. It was a short read. The language was simple. It was easy to understand what the author had to say, but it felt like the author didn’t have much to say.
