In the book Soul Seeker by Kaylin McFarren we get to experience two different sides of a story in two excellent parts. In part one of this book, we follow Benjamin Poe’s story as to why he killed his son. Mr. Poe was the captain of the fire department, and as he was sitting with his friends on his wife’s birthday his pager went off to alert him of a fire, in which he thought his son was in as that is where his son worked. It was that day that had started the mess his son was in with the Devil. Crighton gets sent by the Devil to collect souls from earth, mostly people who are evil, but occasionally he gets sent for angel souls. That is where part two of this book takes off. Crighton goes to earth to capture a guardian angel in training, but things take a sharp turn while he is trying to capture the angel.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book for multiple reasons, but will list a few of the many. One reason I enjoyed this book was because it has very good descriptions, making the reader feel as though you are actually there. The author used words that are very easy to understand, along with words that flowed together naturally. This book was so full of detail it's almost as if I was just watching a movie, which is something I love about books. This book had so many twists and turns, it’s so hard to put down being curious about what is going to happen next, especially in the second part following Crighton’s story.

This book is very good, however the first part of the story does feel a little slow progressing. Other than the first part being slow, in my opinion, this book is excellent and I could not find any other negative aspects.

After careful consideration, this book is a 4/4 star rating for many reasons. One of them being how I couldn't put this book away, even at late hours. Another reason I gave this book this rating is because of how well the author put the words together to make them flow very well together, and had lots of descriptions.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys books filled with plot twists, and overall great story lines. This book, however isn’t suitable for young kids as it does mention some gory and explicit content. This book is for mature readers only because of some of its content, however there isn't a lot of said content.
