Health is a subject that matters to all humans alive. After scientific discoveries and medical treatments became more and more accessible to society, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a must. Don Roberts, the author of Wellness Toolbox Master, does a wonderful job of providing scientific knowledge on how to be healthier using exercises, nutrition, and psychology with a science-based approach.

The book is exceptionally good at explaining scientific research in a simple language. It's very easy to understand both, the research and the fact. I enjoyed the way some stories of the life of the author related to the message he conveyed and the cartoons that made it easier to understand the teachings in a very relaxed and humorous way. As an example, there's a twist on the traditional food pyramid that I found incredible. What gave me more joy was to read about unexpected subjects as psychology and new findings of anatomy.

Although the book reaches its goal of giving the reader a new mindset regarding a healthy life, there is a whole section on the book focused on Don's clients: their experiences with him, testimonials, etc. In my opinion, this gives a bit of credit to his competence at his work, reading about the changed lives of his clients caused by his expertise is a great way to build trust in the reader, but it feels like publicity. While there's nothing inherently wrong with publicizing your work in your book, it's a bit frustrating to have a whole section focused on that.

In conclusion, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It was professionally edited, the author brings his experience as a personal fitness trainer with majesty and the purpose of the book was reached with ease. Plus, the storytelling was splendidly engaging. The experience I had while reading was as if talking to a friend, this helps a lot with understanding what would usually be a tough subject.

Wellness Toolbox Master is a great book for any person who enjoys learning about medical non-fiction. It also appeals to people who are looking for a science-based book on healthy choices in life. I'd recommend this book to the audience who loves science but doesn't want to read a lot of scientific papers to understand these things. In addition, I would gladly suggest it to anyone who is just looking for a fun and light book to read.
