This book takes us through the good, and the ugly parts of one girl's life. This is a story of hope, friendship, and family. Throughout Nikki;s life she faces challenges no kid should have to face, but sadly they do. This story brings up topics of abuse and sexual assault. There are many topics brought up in this book that are very prevalent in today's society.

There were many positive aspects of this book. One positive aspect is that in “From Nowhere to Now Here,” the author, Annick Guirate, was not afraid to bring up tricky topics. She brought up many topics that are very real to some people and handled them with ease. This is also a very easy book to sit down and read in a few days, as you are always eager to see what happens next. This is a book I would definitely recommend to others.

There were very few, if any, negative aspects of this book. This book does bring up very sensitive topics, which could be triggering to some readers. This book discusses abuse in very vivid detail. These details of abuse can be hard to read and readers should be prepared for that. Overall, these are really the only somewhat negative aspects I would say this book has.

The rating for this book would have to be a 4 out of 4. There were absolutely no spelling errors and all English was proper. It was a very easy book to read, that always left you on the edge of your seat. It brought up very tricky topics in an effortless way. This book discussed how trauma can really affect someone's life and shows how one girl overcame that. This is a story that inspires hope for people going through the same struggles that Nikki faces. It also gives us insight into issues that so many kids face today. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested.

The recommended audience for this book would be young adults. This book includes a little bit of cursing, which the readers should be aware of. This book also contains physical and mild sexual violence, which is also something to keep in mind while you are reading. If you are sensitive to physical or sexual violence, then this may not be the book for you. Overall, I highly recommend this book to anyone interested and to readers everywhere.
