Review of The Elf Archive - Book Two of the Magi Charter
The Elf Archive is a christmas adventure book by Jordan David. This is the Book two of The Magi Charter which talks about Noel Night who becomes the head of the historical department and participates in the elves festivities with his friends. Along the way he is disturbed about the secret of the hidden library and goes in search of it and also been haunted by his past memories. The scheming Mistletoe tries to find ways to removed Noel Night from the North pole for good. There is also unexpected twist of events when Santa decides to find his Miss Claus which leads to funny and mystery events.
The book was quite funny when Santa goes on his blind dates to find a Miss Claus and an unexpected turn of situations. The story started to become interesting at the later end of the story. I like the story a lot because of the way new mysteries were unraveling. It showed a fun and competitive environment with the reindeer games that was going on and great friendship that Noel had. They show their support and care to him which gave me a warm feeling. I felt happy because I didn't get to read the book one but this was like a stand alone book to the book one so it's not necessary if you don't read it you would still enjoy it. The book was okay, no errors and punctuation marks were used correctly. I didn't encounter any violent words or use of profanity. No religious acts of any kind just the jolly elves festivities.
The book was unnecessarily detailed. It talked about every single thing that was happening and put in information on the slightest image. This made the book seem boring at the beginning. It only became interesting at the later stage.
I recommend this kind of books to a young audience especially the teens. They would find such book interesting as it acts like a movie. They should also be patient while going through because it was a bit boring but later gets better. This is also for people who are willing to continue reading the upcoming books of the series too.
I loved and really enjoy the novel, it was a wonderful piece. I encountered no errors and it was easy and simple to read. I give the book a 4 out of 4 stars even though it was a bit boring but it shows that the author was trying to make book three much easier and less stressful so as to not go into details all the time. I loved it and I'm really looking forward to book three of this novel.
