Review of Rise of the Savior
Rise of the Savior is a science fiction novel written by Antonio Bonner. I will recommend this book to lovers of science fiction novels.
There are forces in their World that control what they see and hear. These forces can even alter their minds, or at least the minds of those who are not Acolyte. The Acolytes remember everything, and they know the truth. The Acolytes are humans who possess a deity that lives within them. The deity had been there since the day of their birth and can only manifest in the physical, once they are accepted by the Acolyte.
Logan and Jean had two daughters, Amanda and Saira. Amanda is the eldest, while Saira is only six years old. Amanda loves karate and enrolled in a tournament. She lost the tournament and on her way back home with her dad, they had a terrible car accident and all things changed. The accident united Amanda with her Kundalini named Leyna. Leyna is the Kundalini of truth, which made Amanda the Acolyte of Truth. Leyna had been lying dormant, waiting for Amanda to accept her help and be awakened. Amanda woke up at the hospital a different person. Now she needs to save the world from destruction. How will she go about this? Will she succeed?
Antonio used simple words to write this book as it allows readers to have a feel of the emotions of the characters provided. The book was written in a third-person narrative, which allowed us access to the thoughts and emotions of all characters as they go through their activities. The author’s descriptive power is awesome, as I can feel and see things the author described. I enjoyed reading the author’s description of the fight that happened between Jamie and two guys in the parking lot. His description made me feel as if I was an observer at the event as it was happening. The author also made sure to provide characters that are well-developed and interesting. The character of Saira was my favourite as she is a girl that has an emotionless face. She is a brilliant six-year-old who is too smart for her age. Her uses of words are always technical and interesting to read. This made me love her character. I also loved how the author builds the relationship that exists between Amanda and her Sister. The relationship was a progressive one and made the story relatable. All these made me enjoy the book.
I hate nothing in this book, as it is interesting and fun to read. The story provided was unique and straight out of a comic book. The book was also professionally edited with no errors noticed. I enjoyed myself with this book as it is a page-turner. Therefore, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.
