The book Growth by Author Jon Pulli is a story about the near future. A husband and wife that found their little gem of health by accident or so they thought. They convinced the scientist to change a bit of his formula. They started a company with the scientist. The company started with a huge success. Then production wasn’t fast enough. They increased the prices with no luck they still didn’t get production fast enough. Suddenly their product was recalled by the president. The more they enquired about the reason for the recall the less they got answers. The company’s value started falling. They only had one choice and it is to sell the formula. Then the battle within the company started. Just when all parties in the company came to an agreement. The scientists eventually leaked out that there is no proof that the product isn’t working. They even called the people of the public for statements. The statements showed the healing of any health problems. The miracle cure for all. Eventually after a long battle between politician’s, scientists and the public the product was released again. Then the President started her own investigation into the product. She used her own foundation to support the scientists of her choosing to further the research on the product. Then a software engineer was asked for a new look on the research. He decided to create a researches program. Did it work? Now was the question to where the scientists can find him and work with him on his program.

The story shows every day challenges and choices. One can relate with the characters, their struggles and obstacles. The struggle with your inner self, doubting and applauding yourself trying to keep positive. The struggle to perfect everything you do and the obstacles that come with it. Then with friendship, love and loyalty anything is possible.

I read the preview and was intrigued, only it was a struggle for me to get through the first half of the book. The process of getting to know everyone in the story was just too long and not attracting me.

I will rate the book a 2 out of 4 stars.

The book wasn’t interesting for me but I do believe that sci-fi readers may enjoy the book more than me. At basically the ending of the book it did started to be interesting for me, but the ending wasn’t complete, so I was disappointed again.
