Divorced pharmaceutical United State soldier captain bill Sullivan strived to make out time to always be with his son leading him to make a hard but firm decision to be away for sometimes so that after, he can always be near his son.
His decision saw him assigned to the demilitarized zone of the volatile Korean border where he came in contact with a beautifull Korean miss Lee. Bill isn't ready for a new relationship just after his divorce, but wants to focus all his attention on his son Jeffrey. But what will the climate of a new environment have on a lonely divorced soldier in a faraway land of ever present tension? His meeting with the beautiful and enchanting Korean, miss Lee has a dramatic effect on his decision as he is unsure whether he can still make a chance for one more person in his heart.
Dr. David displayed a high level of proficiency in interweaving military, political and civilian activities into his. Ku-pok's morning calm.to make it a very intoxicating book to read. The book can appeal to everyone irrespective of the genre previously enjoyed by the reader as the writer extensively expended his pen to include elements from novels on romance, military, politics etc.
Dr. David made a strong case for the journey and struggles for freedom in a nation. He presents the opportunity for one who had been enjoying freedom without knowing the cost for it to realise and appreciate the effort of the men and women who shed their blood and sweat for freedom to be available for everyone.
Moreover, the message of servitude and a sense of responsibility that is contained in the book will impart positively on every reader.
One issue I had with Dr. David's ku-pok's morning calm is that the full meaning of some of the acronyms are not given in the book.
I will give this book 3 out of 4. I subtracted 1 because of the issue of acronyms without the full meaning being given for the better and immediate understanding of the reader. There are also some few grammatical errors in the novel.
I recommend the book for everyone as the information contained therein will go a long way in simplifying the political complexities of our society. But it will be more appreciable by spouses of military men as it will give them a glimpse into the the day to day activities of their spouses in their quest to protect the nation.
