Ark of the Apocalypse by Tobin Marks is an amazing book. The author succeeded in keeping the excitement and thrill from the very beginning up to the end. He has a vast knowledge in astronomy combined with engineering, world politics, environment, astral projection and foretelling. The characters were perfectly created that until now they are painted in my memory. I loved Nadya. She was the epitome of a woman who had it all and yet so humble. The characters of the engineers and the soldiers were all inspiring. They gave hope to humankind. Their fate, however tore my heart. I also loved the humor between Serge Moroz and Captain Troy. They made me smile after crying. This book evoked all emotions. I cried, I laughed, I got inspired, I got upset. It was compelling that I finished reading it for only three days. The plot was really exciting and unpredictable. Up to the end of the story, I was not able to guess the outcome and the ending. It brought me to well of tears. This is indeed a great book worthy of one's precious time.
What I liked most about this book was its story content. It pictured the real condition of the Earth we are living now. Our only planet is dying now. I couldn't agree more with the author and his views on many topics such as climate change, world politics, greed and world wars. It is awakening in the sense that everything described in the book is happening now that I couldn't help but feel fear for my life and for my love ones. There were many lessons learned and I think this is one of the best books I have read. There was nothing I disliked about the book because it was well -written, well-researched and timely.
I noticed only one error. It was a typo and for that I believe this was professionally edited which made my reading endearing. Thus, I give it 4 out of 4 stars.
I recommend this book to readers who are 16 years old and above because of the bloody and violent wars and some curse words. There were also couple of scenes that in my judgment were sexual and erotic. I believe these things are inappropriate for young readers.
