Review of Sandra Eden's War
Sandra Eden's War, by Michael Low, is a fictional story set during the time of World War II. A story where a woman is involved in the fight to help European countries get their freedom back. Sandra Eden, the main character of this novel, a British Special Operations Executive (SOE) agent, is sent to France to help French Resistance help disrupt the movements of German troops as much as possible.
Sandra was flown to France just a few weeks before the D-Day but, as she dived from the plane, her parachute failed to open. Meanwhile, her pilot who saw her fall with the faulted parachute could not do anything but watch her as she fell, he was sure that she died because no one could have survived a 3,000-feet fall.
This book is fascinating. I completely loved the story with how it started to how it ended. The starting of the story is really cool, it created a lot of suspense and the thrill with all the adventurous situations. I could not stop reading it midway when the starting itself was so thrilling and action-based. I greatly enjoy action and adventurous stories like these.
The story of this novel was very inspiring, I really love novels on woman power and feminism. How Sandra did things being an agent was very intelligent and motivating because it shows that women can do whatever men can and do it even better than them if they want. Gender inequality is something we still have not been able to overcome yet, even in this modern world.
Sandra was very brave and strong, she did all she could in her power to complete her mission. The character development in this story was remarkable. The author did an outstanding job at writing this book. The story was quite fast-paced and to the point which I liked, sometimes if a story is too slow-paced it gets annoying.
I didn't find anything that I disliked about this novel. It was filled with adventure and action, the suspense it caused me is no joke, I couldn't help but keep reading it continuously. It is professionally edited, there were no typos in this book. I think the people who like fiction, adventure and action should absolutely read this book. I want to rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It was quite a ride reading this book, it felt like a roller coaster. There is no profanity in this book, but it does have a little bit of sexual content.
