How to be successful is a compilation of real life stories about ordinary people who built themselves up from nothing to something. With interviews from a number of seasoned entrepreneurs, including the author of the book M. Curtis McCoy, the book gives a perspective on how successful people think and act. How to be successful also sheds light on the hardships and sacrifices made on the path to greatness. M. Curtis McCoy shares his life struggles such as battling diabetes and brain cancer. He also elaborates on what it took to establish his company Best Cellular which is one of the leading cellular companies in the United States. Other interviewees explain what it took to get to where they are and what they do in order to stay on top of their game.How to be successful gives insight on faith in God, perseverance, discipline and proper work ethic.

The book is well put together and offers valuable advice and guidelines for success. It also expounds on the simple steps one can take to improve oneself. How to be successful makes one thing clear, success does not come as quickly or as easily as most people may assume, it takes time, discipline and a lot of hard work. The book also stresses the importance of faith and has bible verses to guide readers which I think is a very important aspect in an overwhelming world. The reminder that God is always looking out for us is a fact we need to be aware of as we struggle to attain success.

I found no negative aspects with the book. I enjoyed reading it very much as it offered very useful advice on business, health, spiritually and relationships. It has something for everyone.

I give the book a rating of 3 out of 4. It is very relatable, easy to read and understand.

I recommend this book for all audiences simply because at the end of the day, we all desire to be successful whether it's in business, in our religious life, in in our relationships or any other sector of life we are actively involved in. How to get from where we are now to where we want to be is a fundamental question we often ask ourselves. How to be successful by M. Curtis McCoy offers some very useful answers.
